Enter the land of Modyssey, where adventure awaits around every corner, from the magical, to the dangerous, to the outright ridiculous. Created with the adventurer in mind, Modyssey provides plenty to explore, plenty of challenges to overcome and plenty of one-of-a-kind loot to collect. Hundreds of hours of work have been put into this pack to not only balance the pack, but to add a lot of exclusive content.

Installation Instructions:

  1. Download and install Forge 9.11.1.965 for 1.6.4.
  2. Download Modyssey.
  3. Create a new subdirectory in the “.minecraft” folder and unzip all files there.
  4. From the launcher, click “New Profile” and select the created “Game Directory”.
  5. Select “release 1.6.4-Forge9.11.1.965” for “Use version”.
  6. Check the box next to “JVM Arguments” and paste “-XX:MaxPermSize=128m” into the box (without quotes).
  7. Create a new world and select “Biomes O’Plenty” for world generation

Note: The JVM arguments may be tweaked to your liking, but without the MaxPermSize setting, the modpack will be unplayable.

A look at the 3×3 Card Game. (Based on Triple Triad from Final Fantasy VIII)
Each player starts off in a new world with a Kit Selector block which provides 10 custom kits to choose from.
A reference to Fallout 3. The Wasteland biome in Modyssey features a ton of references to the game.
If you can find this structure, it is rumored that a legendary baseball bat is found somewhere within.
Inside of a basketball arena, featuring mobs wearing jerseys from every NBA team.
One of the random structures exclusive to the modpack. Features random mobs wearing jerseys from every NFL team.
Inside the wrestling arena where random mobs battle it out in the ring. Found in the Badlands biome.
As well as random dungeons, Modyssey also features a ton of random builds that can be used as player houses.
With over 400 builds made for the modpack, many biomes have their own themed structures.
The Origin Valley biome features a couple of “beginner” builds as well as a SkyBlock. Killing pigs inside of this biome will yield porkchops that work similar to how food did before the adventure update.
Featuring one of almost every villager, this is the premiere place to shop.

Goes from lava lake level to above bedrock. Features a shard of Unobtanium at the top.

Mods such as Special Mobs and Infernal Mobs add a lot of variety to the enemies that you will come across in Modyssey.
Caving has gotten a lot more dangerous thanks to the Deadly World mod which adds random spawners and chests down in the caves. It’s a good thing that vanilla ores spawn at all levels.
Hundreds of exclusive items have been added to the modpack with a variety of functions from the novel to extremely useful and powerful.
Thanks to MineTweaker, a lot of recipes have been altered to adjust difficulty and better integrate the different mods in the pack.
All loot lists have been completely revamped for the modpack thanks to the Custom Chest Loot mod.
Thanks to the Lost Books mod, a variety of “Fun Fact” books which offer information on the modpack can be obtained as mob drops.
